Welcome to my Super Blackbird website.

In september 1996 Honda introduced the Honda CBR1100 XX Super Blackbird. At that time I owned a CBR 1000 F and in my eyes the CBR 1100 XX was a perfect upgrade: less weight, more power and good looking. I traded the 1000F in for the 1100 XX and March 1997 I could ride the very first kilometers on the Super Blackbird. It was an overwhelming experience: so much smoother and more powerfull compared to the 1000F. A perfect sportstourer.

At that moment there was not very much information about this motorcycle.
That is why I decided to make a website to make it easier to exchange information between Super Blackbird owners from all over the world.
At first it was just a part of my personal website, but in the now it is the main subject of the site and the personal part almost gone, but I am working on a new personal website.

This site contains a lot of information about the Honda CBR 1100 XX Super Blackbird. A list of XX-owners from more than 50 countries, all kinds of modifications, accessories and a Photo Gallery. where you can ask and answer questions online. Another part is the Photo Gallery with a lot of Blackbird photos from all over the world.

Since 2006 May 20th I own a BMW R1200GS. I have decided to continue the website, because it contains a lot of useful information for Blackbird owners. On top of the column at the right side of this page there is a list of more Blackbird websites and forums.

This is Blackbird with serial number 124. The owner Paul Federczyk (USA) would like to know who has a lower serial number.
If you have any idea, let me know and I give the information to Paul.

On September 12, 2011 I received an e-mail from Cor Waning (NL) that he does have a lower serial number: M00051. His Blackbird is from September 1996.

Dutch Super Blackbird meeting 2007 september 23th: 161 Blackbirds!

Blackbirds from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, Denmark and Norway came to the meeting. More are in the Photo Gallery.

A very special Blackbird of Arno Steeman (NL), more info is in the modifications section. The pictures are in the Photo Gallery. His Blackbird is for sale now!
Clive Johnson has written a guideline for installing the ScottOiler on the FI Blackbird with more detailed instructions and photo's.
The guideline (version 3.0) is downloadable in the modifications section.
He has also made a Supplemental ScottOiler document that presents some alternative reservoir mounting ideas.

Mike Via's Super Blackbird has reached the 100,000 miles mark! Needless to say that it was without any big problems! Mike has traded his '97 Blackbird (with 104,763 miles on the clock) in for a 2003 Blackbird.
